And the film will be set and actually filmed in Newark, with Bayonne and possibly Howell playing supporting roles.
Director Steven Spielberg will be shooting scenes in those locations as early as next month, according to Joe Friedman, executive director of the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission.
While Paramount Pictures, which is producing the flick, is keeping hush about their plans, the state has been crawling with location scouts from the company, Friedman says.
"But if it was up to me, I would never stop talking about this, I'm so happy this major film is being shot in New Jersey. It's their tent pole picture for summer 2005. It's gonna be a powerful movie," he said.
