First Stills from Ring of the Nibelungs aka Kingdom in Twilight

We have been sent the very first images from Ring of the Nibelungs, formerly Kingdom in Twilight, which stars Kristanna Loken and Alicia Witt. You can check them out here.The movie is based on the Germanic myth "Das Nibelungenlied" and the Nordic "Volsunga Saga" which also inspired the four-opera cycle by Richard Wagner and J.R.R. Tolkien's epic "The Lord of the Rings", this is the story of the young blacksmith Siegfried, who, not knowing that he is heir to a conquered kingdom, becomes popular with the Burgunds by slaying their bane, the dragon Fafnir. We hear it may be broken up for TV in Germany but will be shown at theatres in the UK and US. Though possibly edited down for ratings...Full details on the movie here.More when we get it.
