The giant robot and alien filled first trailer for director Guillermo del Toro's 2013 sci-fi action movie "Pacific Rim" - is now online. The film stars Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Rob Pearlman, Charlie Day and Robert Kazinsky.

The Warner Bros. Pictures film stars Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Ron Pearlman, Charlie Day, Burn Gorman, Diego Klattenhoff, Clifton Collins Jr., Robert Kazinsky, Robert Maillet and Max Martini.

"Pacific Rim" is released on 2D/3D/3D IMAX screens across the US and UK from July 12th, 2013.

But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot and an untested trainee who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind's last hope against the mounting apocalypse.
