Channing Tatum for 'White House Down'

Channing Tatum is in advanced talks for the lead in Sony's "White House Down."
Variety reports that Roland Emmerich will direct the James Vanderbilt scripted actiob flick described as "Die Hard" in the White House.
The action follows a Secret Service agent who must save the president.
Emmerich, Vanderbilt, Harald Kloser, Bradley Fischer and Laeta Kalogridis are producing through Mythology Entertainment. Reid Carolin, Tatum's producing partner at their Iron Horse Entertainment banner, will be executive producers.
Filming reportedly commences in late summer.
The next casting news will be the U.S. president and the head of the Secret Service for the film.
With Joe Roth, Tatum and Iron Horse are producing "Neverland" at Sony, with Gavin O'Connor being considered to direct, according to Variety.
