'Wolverine' gets 2013 release date

20th Century Fox's "The Wolverine" will open on July 23, 2013.
According to Variety, Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as the mutant/X-Men member Wolverine from "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."
James Mangold is directing from a Mark Bomback ("Live Free or Die Hard," "Unstoppable") script.
Christopher McQuarrie wrote an earlier draft.
Darren Aronofsky was attached to direct the film but dropped out last year.
The story centers on an amnesia-suffering Wolverine who tries to determine what his involvement is with the Japanese mob.
Jackman is producing along with John Palermo and Lauren Shuler Donner.
Production is expected to begin later this year in Tokyo and Vancouver.
