Denzel Washington close to '2 Guns'

Denzel Washington is in talks to star opposite Mark Wahlberg in Universal's adaptation of the Boom! Studios comic book "2 Guns."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Baltasar Kormákur is directing.
This would reunite Kormákur and Wahlberg, who collaborated on the Universal thriller "Contraband."
The original "2 Guns" comic was written by Steven Grant with art by Mat Santolouco.
Marc Platt is producing along with Andrew Cosby and Ross Ritchie from Boom!Studios.
Blake Masters wrote a previous draft which was rewritten by Wahlberg's "The Fighter" director David O. Russell.
The film centers on an undercover DEA agent and naval intelligence officer who, without realizing it, are investigating each other for stealing money from the mob. They later realize that the mob actually tricked them into stealing $50 million from the CIA.
Washington can be seen in the upcoming "Safe House."
