By Adnan Tezer Feb 8, 2012, 20:46 GMT
Twentieth Century Fox has moved the release date of "This Means War" from Valentine's Day back to its original release date of February 17.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will play national sneak previews on Valentine's Day.
The move was an attempt to avoid having to deal directly with the film expected to dominate on Valentine's Day, the Channing Tatum - Rachel McAdams romantic drama "The Vow," which opens February 10.
McG directed "This Means War" with a cast that includes Chris Pine, Tom Hardy, Reese Witherspoon, Til Schweiger, Chelsea Handler, Angela Bassett and Abigail Spencer.
Robert Simonds, Jennifer Simpson, Will Smith and Witherspoon produced.
The film centers on two CIA spies (Hardy, Pine) who are lifelong friends until they both fall in love with the same woman (Witherspoon). When they realize they are going after the same woman, an escalating battle ensues.
