The new first trailer and movie poster for Universal Pictures upcoming action thriller "The Bourne Legacy" is now online. Legacy is the fourth in the massively popular Bourne series of movies.

Tony Gilroy, who scripted the previous Bourne movies, steps into the directors chair for "The Bourne Legacy."

The film stars Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Oscar Isaac, Joan Allen, Albert Finney, Stacy Keach and Scott Glenn.

"The Bourne Legacy" is released across the US from August 3rd and the UK from August 17th.

"Bourne Legacy" director Tony Gilroy commented - "This is not a reboot or a recast or a prequel. No one's replacing Matt Damon. There will be a whole new hero, a whole new chapter...this is a stand-alone project. The easiest way to think of it is an expansion or a reveal. Jason Bourne will not be in this film, but he's very much alive. What happened in the first three films is the trigger for what happens.
