Rooney Mara will replace Blake Lively as the female lead in Open Road's thriller "Side Effects."
According to Variety, Steven Soderbergh is directing from a Scott Z. Burns script.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing with Greg Jacobs and Burns.
Jude Law, Channing Tatum and Catherine Zeta-Jones have been cast.
Shooting is set to begin in April in New York.
The film centers on a depressed woman (Mara) who is overmedicating on prescription drugs to help her deal with the stress created by the impending release of her husband (Tatum) from jail. This leads her to begin a relationship with a doctor (Law).
Mara is coming off her Oscar-nominated role as Lisbeth Salander in "The Girl With a Dragon Tattoo."
