Jessica Chastain boards 'Madagascar 3'

Jessica Chastain will make her animated feature debut in DreamWorks Animation's "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Eric Darnell and Conrad Vernon are directing with a June 8, 2012, release date set.
Noah Baumbach wrote the script.
Mireille Soria and Mark Swift are producing.
Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith and Sacha Baron Cohen return in their roles as big-game animals who escape a New York zoo and end up on an African coast island.
Frances McDormand, Bryan Cranston and Martin Short have also joined the cast.
The new film will focus on the animals as they reunite to try and find their way home by joining a traveling circus.
The 2005 original grossed $532.6 million worldwide while the second movie, 2008's "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa," made $603.9 million.
Chastain had a breakout year in 2011 with roles in "The Tree of Life," "The Help" and "Take Shelter."
