Joel Edgerton joins Bigelow's Bin Laden film

Joel Edgerton has joined the cast of Kathryn Bigelow's untitled Osama Bin Laden film for Sony Pictures.
According to Variety, Bigelow will direct from a script by Mark Boal.
The two collaborated on the Oscar-winning film "The Hurt Locker."
Bigelow and Boal are producing along with Megan Ellison, Greg Shapiro and Ted Schipper.
Jason Clarke has also been cast in the film, which will center on the Navy Seal 6 team that tracked and killed Osama Bin Laden last year.
Production is expected to begin next month with a release date set for December 19, 2012.
Edgerton, who garnered strong reviews for his work in "Warrior," will be seen in "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" and "The Great Gatsby" later this year.
