The promise of 2012 will act as a relief to studio bosses who noticed a decline in movie ticket sales and attendance last year. 2011 saw figures drop to a 16 year low in North America, a drop of 3.4% on 2010.
However the film industry should feel very optimistic about the year ahead, as 2012 will see the storming return of many hugely successful movie franchises, alongside the introduction of quite a few new ones.
