Ben Kingsley lines up 'Ender's Game'

Ben Kingsley is in talks to join the cast of Summit Entertainment's screen adaptation of Orson Scott Card's 1985 sci-fi novel "Ender's Game."
According to Variety, Gavin Hood is directing from his script adaptation with a March 15, 2013 release date set.
Orson Scott Card, Lynn Hendee and Robert Chartoff are producing along with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman through K/O Paper Products; and Gigi Pritzker and Linda McDonough through OddLot Entertainment.
Asa Butterfield ("Hugo") has been cast in the titular role of Ender Wiggin. Hailee Steinfeld is also in talks to join the film.
The film is set in the future and centers on the child Ender Wiggin, who is trained in the arts of war by an international fleet so that he may help battle a third invasion of earth by an insect-like alien species called the Formics.
Kingsley can be currently seen opposite Butterfield in Martin Scorsese's "Hugo."
