More actors board 'Django Unchained'

James Remar and Tom Wopat have joined the cast of Quentin Tarantino's new film "Django Unchained."
According to Variety, Tarantino will direct from his own screenplay.
The cast includes Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kerry Washington.
The film will be a spaghetti Western set during the Old South that centers on a slave named Django (Foxx) who teams with a German bounty hunter named Dr. King Schultz (Waltz) to rescue his slave wife (Washington) from an evil plantation owner named Calvin Candie (DiCaprio).
Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Gerald McRaney, Dennis Christopher, Don Johnson, James Russo and Todd Allen have also been cast.
The Weinstein Company will distribute the film domestically while Sony Pictures will distribute overseas.
Stacey Sher, Pilar Savone and Reginald Hudlin are producing.
Production begins in January with a Christmas Day 2012 release date set.
Remar is best known for his roles as Richard Wright in HBO's "Sex and the City" and Harry Morgan in Showtime's "Dexter"
Wopat is best known for his role as Luke Duke on the CBS show "The Dukes of Hazzard."
