Amanda Seyfried is in talks to play 1970s porn star Linda Lovelace in the biopic "Lovelace."
According to Variety, Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman are directing.
Peter Sarsgaard is in talks to play Lovelace's abusive pornographer husband Chuck Traynor.
The script was written by W. Merritt Johnson and Andy Bellin, which was based on Eric Danville's biography "The Complete Linda Lovelace."
Avi Lerner, Heidi Jo Markel and Laura Rister are producing with shooting expected to begin in January.
Lovelace shot to fame with the landmark 1972 porno movie "Deep Throat," which was one of the first porn movies to reach into mainstream culture.
Lovelace, whose real name was Linda Susan Boreman, later denounced her pornography career and became a spokeswoman for the anti-pornography movement.
She died in 2002 following a car crash in Denver.
There is another Lovelace biopic in the works, "Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story," with Malin Akerman attached to play Lovelace.
Seyfried can currently be seen in "In Time."
