Octavia Spencer joins Diablo Cody film

Octavia Spencer has joined the cast of the untitled Mandate film marking the directorial debut of screenwriter Diablo Cody.
According to Variety, Russell Brand and Julianne Hough star.
The film had been previously titled "Lamb of God."
Cody will direct from her own script.
Mason Novick is producing.
The film centers on a religious woman (Hough) who loses her faith following a plane crash and moves to Las Vegas to let her wild side show for the first time in her life. She eventually rediscovers her faith with the help of a new acquaintance (Brand).
Spencer was recently in the DreamWorks summer hit "The Help."
