Genesis Rodriguez has joined the cast of Lionsgate's action-western "The Last Stand" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
According to Variety, Kim Jee-Woon is directing from a script by Andrew Knauer.
Jeffrey Nachmanoff and George Nolfi did polishes.
Peter Stormare, Zach Gilford, Jaimie Alexander, Rodrigo Santoro, Luis Guzmán, Johnny Knoxville, Forest Whitaker and Harry Dean Stanton have also been cast.
The film has a January 18, 2013 release date set.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing with shooting underway in New Mexico.
"The Last Stand" centers on a border-town sheriff (Schwarzenegger) and his inexperienced deputies who must catch a recently escaped Mexican cartel boss.
Rodriguez is primed for a breakout year in 2012 with roles in "Man on a Ledge," "What to Expect When You Are Expecting" and "Casa de mi Padre."
