6 minute 'The Dark Knight Rises' prologue with 'Mission: Impossible'

AMC Cinema's have confirmed that a six minute prologue from "The Dark Knight Rises" will play before 70mm IMAX screenings of "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" in December.

Only full size 70mm IMAX screens will show the Batman preview, so be sure to check with your local IMAX complex that it is in fact 70mm.

In 2007 a six minute preview for "The Dark Knight" was screened before IMAX showings of "I Am Legend." This seems to following that trend.

You will be able to catch "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" with the "Dark Knight Rises" preview from December 16th on IMAX 70mm screens.

Warner Bros. latest Batman film see's Christian Bale return as the caped crusader and a supporting cast that includes Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Nestor Carbonell and Daniel Sunjata.

Christopher Nolan returns to direct his third and final Batman movie.

"The Dark Knight Rises" hits screens worldwide from July 20th, 2012.

The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven, who previously teamed on “Batman Begins” and the record-breaking blockbuster “The Dark Knight.” The executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull, with Jordan Goldberg serving as co-producer. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.
