Cusack and Knoxville heading to 'Carnaval'

John Cusack and Johnny Knoxville will star in Stone Village's comedy "Carnaval."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Josh Stern is directing from a script that he rewrote.
David Styne wrote the original screenplay.
Scott Steindorff, Dylan Russell, Scott LaStaiti and Styne are producing.
The story centers on a sports scout (Cusack) sent to Rio de Janeiro during the annual festival of Carnaval to sign the best soccer player in the world. The mission is put in jeopardy when his best friend accompanying him on the trip (Knoxville) sleeps with the player's girlfriend.
Shooting begins in Rio in January.
Cusack will be seen as Edgar Allan Poe in the upcoming thriller "The Raven."
Knoxville is currently shooting the Arnold Schwarzenegger action-western "The Last Stand."
