Forest Whitaker joins 'Last Stand'

Forest Whitaker has joined the cast of Lionsgate's action-western "The Last Stand" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
According to Variety, Kim Jee-Woon is directing from a script by Andrew Knauer.
Jeffrey Nachmanoff and George Nolfi did polishes.
Peter Stormare, Zach Gilford, Jaimie Alexander, Rodrigo Santoro, Luis Guzmán, Johnny Knoxville and Harry Dean Stanton have also been cast.
The film has a January 18, 2013 release date set.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing with shooting underway in New Mexico.
Schwarzenegger had been attached to the drama "Cry Macho" but dropped out in May after a scandal broke out over his fathering a child with his housekeeper.
"The Last Stand" centers on a border-town sheriff (Schwarzenegger) and his inexperienced deputies who must catch a recently escaped Mexican cartel boss.
Whitaker won an Oscar (Best Actor) for his role as Idi Amin in "The Last King of Scotland."
