Diego González Boneta is in final talks to join the cast of Legendary Pictures' "Paradise Lost," an adaptation of the epic 17th-century English poem by John Milton.
According to Variety, Warner Bros. will distribute the film worldwide in late 2013.
Shooting is set for January 2012 in Sydney, Australia.
Bradley Cooper, Ben Walker, Djimon Hounsou, Casey Affleck, Callan McAuliffe and Dominic Purcell have already been cast.
Australian director Alex Proyas ("Dark City," "Knowing," "I, Robot" and "The Crow") will direct with the special-effects heavy film being shot in 3D.
Legendary's Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni will produce along with Vincent Newman and Proyas.
Stuart Hazeldine wrote the main draft of the screenplay that was originally written by Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi. Lawrence Kasdan and Ryan Condal also did separate polishes.
The film will take the frame of an action film, telling the story of the epic war in heaven between archangels Michael (Walker) and Lucifer (Cooper).
Boneta (the upcoming "Rock of Ages") would be playing Adam, the first man on Earth.
Camilla Belle ("10,000 BC") is still in talks to play Eve.
