Jacki Weaver can read 'The Silver Linings Playbook'

Jacki Weaver is in talks to join the cast of The Weinstein Company's romantic comedy "The Silver Linings Playbook."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, David O. Russell ("The Fighter") is directing from his adaptation of Matthew Quick's novel of the same name.
Harvey Weinstein is producing.
The cast includes Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro and Jennifer Lawrence.
The story centers on a former high school teacher (Cooper) who is released from a mental institution into his mother's care after a bout with depression. He sets out to win his ex-wife's affections back and becomes involved with a troubled neighbor (Lawrence).
Weaver, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in last year's "Animal Kingdom," would play Cooper's mother.
She'll be seen opposite Jason Segel in the comedy "The Five-Year Engagement" next year.
