Brian Geraghty has joined the cast of the Paramount drama "Flight" being directed by Oscar-winning director Robert Zemeckis and starring Denzel Washington.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film would be Zemeckis' first live-action film since 2000's "Castaway."
Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are producing.
Don Cheadle, Bruce Greenwood and Kelly Reilly are also in talks to join the cast.
The script, by John Gatins, centers on an alcoholic and drug-addicted pilot named Whip (Washington) who inadvertently becomes a hero after saving his aircraft and passengers when the engine malfunctions.
After an FAA investigation finds traces of drug use, it attempts to bury the truth in order to maintain the pilot's public image.
Geraghty is best known for his role in the Oscar-winning film "The Hurt Locker."
He'll be seen in the upcoming ensemble drama "Ten Year."
