Knepper boards 'R.I.P.D.'

Robert Knepper has joined the cast of Universal's adaptation of the Dark Horse comic "R.I.P.D." starring Ryan Reynolds.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Schwentke is directing.
The supernatural action comedy is being produced by Neil H. Moritz, Mike Richardson, Reynolds and Jonathon Komack Martin.
The cast includes Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, Stephanie Szostak, Mary-Louise Parker, Marisa Miller and James Hong.
Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi wrote the script based on Peter Lenkov's comic.
The story centers on a murdered cop (Reynolds) who is recruited to work in the Rest in Peace Department (RIPD), a police force comprised of ghosts that battles spirits unwilling to depart the world.
Production is underway in Boston.
Knepper is best known for his role as Theodore 'T-Bag' Bagwell on Fox's "Prison Break."
