'Lion King' takes weekend box office

Disney's 3D re-release of their 1994 classic "The Lion King" won the domestic box office over the weekend with an impressive $29.3 million.
According to Variety, the film has grossed over $825 million worldwide since its initial release.
Warner Bros.' "Contagion" came in at No. 2 with $14.5 million for a domestic cumulative of $44.2 million.
FilmDistrict's "Drive" opened in the No. 3 spot with $11 million.
Disney-DreamWorks' "The Help" placed No. 4 with $6.4 million for a domestic cumulative of $147.4 million.
Sony/Screen Gems' remake of Sam Peckinpah's "Straw Dogs" opened in the No. 5 spot with $5 million.
