'The Three Stooges' receives a 2012 release date

20th Century Fox will open their feature version of "The Three Stooges" on April 4, 2012.
According to Variety, Peter and Bobby Farrelly ("There’s Something About Mary," "Hall Pass") are writing and directing the film.
The cast includes Sean Hayes as Larry Fine, Will Sasso as Curly Howard and Chris Diamantopoulos as Moe Howard.
Sofia Vergara, Jane Lynch, Larry David, Stephen Collins, Jennifer Hudson, Craig Bierko and Carly Craig have also been cast.
The Farrellys are producing with their Conundrum partner Bradley Thomas and Charles B. Wessler.
The PG-rated film will not be a straight-forward narrative but rather three, 27-minute segments with trademark Stooges physical comedy.
The segments will involve Larry, Moe and Curly attempting to save their childhood home while getting wrapped up in a murder plot and starring in a reality TV show.
