Anthony Hopkins is in final talks to star in New Line's serial killer film "Solace."
According to Variety, Contrafilm's Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson are producing.
No director is attached yet.
Sean Bailey and Ted Griffin wrote the original screenplay with James Vanderbilt and Peter Morgan doing separate polishes.
Production is set for early next year.
Hopkins, who won an Oscar for his iconic portrayal of serial killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter in "The Silence of the Lambs," will switch sides in "Solace" as he plays a doctor with psychic abilities working for the F.B.I. who is brought on to aid in catching a serial killer who also has psychic abilities.
