Wendi McLendon-Covey boards 'Magic Mike'

Wendi McLendon-Covey has joined the cast of the independent drama "Magic Mike."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Steven Soderbergh is directing from a Reid Carolin script.
Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Riley Keough, Cody Horn, Olivia Munn and Gabriel Iglesias have already been cast.
The story revolves around the title character Magic Mike (Tatum), a stripper and dancer who mentors another stripper (Pettyfer).
The script is based on Tatum's experiences as a male stripper when he was 19.
Nick Wechsler and Gregory Jacobs are producing with Tatum and Carolin through their 33andOut Productions.
Shooting begins this month.
McLendon-Covey was recently in the smash summer comedy hit "Bridesmaids."
