Olivia Wilde is in talks to take over for Jennifer Garner in Occupant Films' comedic thriller "Better Living Through Chemistry."
According to Variety, Garner had to drop out after becoming pregnant with her third child.
Screenwriters Geoff Moore and David Posamentier will be making their directorial debut with the picture.
The cast includes Sam Rockwell and Michelle Monaghan, with Judi Dench narrating.
The film centers on an unhappily married small-town pharmacist (Rockwell) who begins an affair with a trophy wife (Wilde) who introduces him to prescription drugs. Things quickly spin out of control when the lovers plot to kill the woman's husband.
Jeremy Renner was previously attached to the role of the pharmacist.
Joe Neurauter, Felipe Marino and Keith Calder are producing.
Wilde can be currently seen in "Cowboys & Aliens" and "The Change Up."
