Rosamund Pike gets her 'One Shot'

Rosamund Pike will play the female lead opposite Tom Cruise in Paramount Pictures' "One Shot."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Christopher McQuarrie is directing from his own script.
A February 8, 2013 release date has been set.
Shooting will begin later this fall.
Pike beat out Hayley Atwell ("Captain America: The First Avenger") and Alexa Davalos ("Clash of the Titans") for the part.
The film is based on the 2005 Lee Child novel of the same name that centers on Jack Reacher (Cruise), an ex-Army police officer who becomes involved in a case where a sniper is accused of murdering five people in a shooting.
Cruise is producing with his partner Paula Wagner through their Cruise/Wagner Productions along with David Ellison's Skydance Productions; Dana Goldberg and Gary Levinsohn through Mutual Film Company; and Don Granger.
Pike is best known for her work in "Die Another Day," "An Education" and "Barney's Version."
