By Adnan Tezer Aug 16, 2011, 19:16 GMT
Scott Glenn will reprise his role as CIA director Ezra Kramer in Universal's fourth installment of the Jason Bourne franchise titled "The Bourne Legacy."
According to Variety, Jeremy Renner has been cast as the lead.
Edward Norton, Rachel Weisz, Oscar Isaac and Stacy Keach have also been cast.
Joan Allen and Albert Finney will also be reprising their roles from the previous Bourne trilogy as CIA agent Pam Landry and Dr. Albert Hirsch, respectively.
Plot details are being kept under wraps except that the new lead character would not be Jason Bourne but another assassin who went through the same training that Jason Bourne went through.
Tony Gilroy will write and direct the film.
Gilroy has written the first three films in the "Bourne" franchise.
Frank Marshall, Jeffrey Weiner, Pat Crowley and Ben Smith are producing.
Glenn is best known for his role as astronaut Alan Shepard in Philip Kaufman's 1983 epic "The Right Stuff."
His recent credits include "Sucker Punch," "Secretariat" and "W."
