Paramount dates 'World War Z'

Paramount has given their zombie film "World War Z," starring Brad Pitt, a release date of December 21, 2012.
According to Variety, Marc Forster is directing with Pitt producing through his Plan B Entertainment along with David Ellison's Skydance Productions.
Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Colin Wilson are also producing.
J. Michael Straczynski and Matt Carnahan wrote the script based on Max Brooks' novel.
Set 10 years after a global zombie epidemic, the story unfolds as a collection of individual accounts told from several perspectives around the world.
Pitt is playing a United Nations worker and father of two girls. Mireille Enos is playing Pitt's wife.
Anthony Mackie and James Badge Dale have also been cast.
The film will open in an already crowded December 2012 that will see the unveiling of such high profile films as Disney's "The Lone Ranger," Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" and Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained."
