Joan Allen and Albert Finney are in talks to reprise their roles from Universal's Jason Bourne franchise in "The Bourne Legacy."
According to Variety, Jeremy Renner has been cast as the lead.
Rachel Weisz and Oscar Isaac have also been cast.
Edward Norton is in talks to play the villain.
Plot details are being kept under wraps except that the new lead character would not be Jason Bourne but another assassin who went through the same training that Jason Bourne went through.
Tony Gilroy will write and direct the film.
Gilroy has written the first three films in the "Bourne" franchise.
Frank Marshall, Jeffrey Weiner and Ben Smith are producing.
Allen appeared in "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Bourne Ultimatum" as Pam Landry, a CIA agent trying to capture Bourne.
Finney appeared in "The Bourne Ultimatum" as Dr. Albert Hirsch, the doctor who oversaw the assassin training program.
