'Young Adult' gets December release date

Paramount will open Jason Reitman's "Young Adult" on December 9, 2011.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Diablo Cody wrote the script.
Reitman and Cody previously collaborated on "Juno."
The film will open in limited release on December 9 with a larger roll out a week later on December 16.
The story follows a divorced, young-adult fiction writer (Charlize Theron) who returns to her hometown in Minnesota to chase her ex-boyfriend (Patrick Wilson), who is now married with children.
Patton Oswalt also stars.
Mr. Mudd's Lianne Halfon and Russell Smith produced along with Mason Novick, Reitman and Cody.
Reitman's last film was the critically acclaimed "Up in the Air," which starred George Clooney.
