By Adnan Tezer Jul 22, 2011, 19:07 GMT
Hilary Swank will star in and co-produce Radical Pictures' feature adaptation of the sci-fi comic "Shrapnel."
According to Variety, Toby Wagstaff will write the screenplay.
The Radical Publishing comic was written by Nick Sagan and M. Zachary Sherman, from an original idea by Sagan and Mark Long.
No director or studio is attached yet.
The futuristic story, set in 2250, centers on a former Marine (Swank) who leads a revolt on Venus against an oppressive planetary government.
Radical's Barry Levine will produce with Swank and Sean Daniel.
The Oscar-winning Swank recently starred in "Conviction" and will be seen in the ensemble romantic comedy "New Year's Eve" this December.
