Nick Frost is in final talks to become the seventh dwarf in Universal's "Snow White and the Huntsman."
According to Variety, Rupert Sanders is directing from an Evan Daugherty script.
Evan Spiliotopoulos and Hossein Amini have done rewrites.
Joe Roth and Palak Patel are producing.
In the retelling of the classic Grimm fairy tale, the huntsman (who originally is supposed to kill Snow White but ends up letting her go) becomes her protector as they try to escape from the evil queen who wants Snow White dead.
Kristen Stewart is set to play Snow White with Chris Hemsworth playing the huntsman.
Charlize Theron will play the evil queen. Sam Claflin will play the prince and love interest of Snow White. Lily Cole and Sam Spruell have also been cast.
The other six dwarfs include Ian McShane, Ray Winstone, Eddie Izzard, Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones and Steven Graham.
Production begins in August with a June 1, 2012 release date set.
Frost was last seen in Universal's comedy "Paul."
