'Transformers' dominates at the box office

Paramount's "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" took care of all competitors over the Fourth of July holiday weekend as it debuted with $116.4 million over the four-day weekend.
According to Variety, the film has grossed a total of $181.1 million domestically since opening wide last Wednesday.
Disney/Pixar's "Cars 2" finished No. 2 with $32.1 million for a domestic cumulative of $123 million.
Sony's "Bad Teacher" placed No. 3 with $17.6 million for a domestic cumulative of $63.1 million.
Universal's "Larry Crowne" opened in the No. 4 spot with $15.7 million.
Paramount's "Super 8" came in No. 5 with $9.5 million for a domestic cumulative of $110.1 million.
