Giancarlo Esposito goes with 'I, Alex Cross'

Giancarlo Esposito has boarded the cast of Summit Entertainment's thriller "I, Alex Cross," an origin tale based on the books of James Patterson.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tyler Perry will play the iconic detective-psychologist Alex Cross.
Rob Cohen is directing from a script by Kerry Williamson and Marc Moss.
Ed Burns, Matthew Fox and Jean Reno have also been cast.
The story finds Cross teaming up with another detective to track down a serial killer.
QED's Bill Block and Paul Hanson are producing along with Patterson, Leopoldo Gout and Steve Bowen.
Production is scheduled to begin in August with a release in late 2012 or early 2013.
Esposito can be seen on AMC's "Breaking Bad." He was in last year's critically acclaimed "Rabbit Hole."
