'The Host' to be unleashed in 2013

Open Road Films will distribute the sci-fi film "The Host" and open it on March 29, 2013.
According to Variety, Andrew Niccol is directing the big-screen adaptation of the 2008 novel by "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer.
Saoirse Ronan ("Hanna") has booked the lead role.
The script, which Niccol adapted, centers on the invasion and takeover of Earth by a group of aliens known as Souls.
Nick Wechsler is producing along with Meyer, Steve Schwartz and Paula Mae Schwartz.
Shooting begins in February 2012 in Louisiana and New Mexico.
Niccol wrote and directed the films "Gattaca," "S1m0ne" and "Lord of War."
His most recent film "Now," which stars Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried, opens in October.
