Cole and Spruell going with 'Snow White and the Huntsman'

Lily Cole and Sam Spruell have boarded the cast of Universal's "Snow White and the Huntsman."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rupert Sanders is directing from an Evan Daugherty script.
Evan Spiliotopoulos and Hossein Amini have done rewrites.
Joe Roth and Palak Patel are producing.
In the retelling of the classic Grimm fairy tale, the huntsman (who originally is supposed to kill Snow White but ends up letting her go) becomes her protector as they try to escape from the evil queen who wants Snow White dead.
Kristen Stewart is set to play Snow White with Chris Hemsworth playing the huntsman.
Charlize Theron will play the evil queen. Sam Claflin will play the prince and love interest of Snow White.
The dwarfs include Ian McShane, Ray Winstone, Eddie Izzard, Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan and Steven Graham.
Production begins in August with a June 1, 2012 release date set.
Cole's credits include "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" and the TV series "Doctor Who."
Spruell was in "The Hurt Locker" and "Defiance."
A rival Snow White film set up at Relativity is also gearing up for production with Tarsem Singh directing Julia Roberts as the evil queen, Lily Collins as Snow White and Armie Hammer as the prince.
