Emma Stone has an offer to star in Lionsgate's "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," based on the novel by Seth Grahame-Smith.
According to Variety, Craig Gillespie ("Lars and the Real Girl," "Fright Night") will direct.
The book mixes Jane Austen's 1813 classic "Pride and Prejudice" with zombies. The story takes place in an alternate version of 19th-century England where zombies roam the countryside amidst a virus outbreak as Elizabeth Bennet and her sisters look for romance.
Grahame-Smith is writing the script with Marti Noxon.
Natalie Portman is producing through her Handsomecharlie films with Annette Savitch, along with Darko Entertainment's Richard Kelly, Sean McKittrick and Ted Hamm.
Stone will be seen in Sony's upcoming summer film "The Help."
