Ray Winstone has rounded out the cast of dwarfs in Universal's Snow White film "Snow White and the Huntsman."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rupert Sanders is directing from an Evan Daugherty script.
Evan Spiliotopoulos is doing a rewrite.
Joe Roth and Palak Patel are producing.
In the retelling of the classic Grimm fairy tale, the huntsman (who originally is supposed to kill Snow White but ends up letting her go) becomes her protector as they try to escape from the evil queen who wants Snow White dead.
Kristen Stewart is set to play Snow White with Chris Hemsworth playing the huntsman.
Charlize Theron will play the evil queen. Sam Claflin will play the prince and love interest of Snow White.
The other dwarfs include Ian McShane as the leader, Eddie Izzard, Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan and Steven Graham.
Production begins in August with a June 1, 2012 release date set.
Winstone will be seen in Martin Scorsese's upcoming 3D film "Hugo Cabret."
A rival Snow White film set up at Relativity is also gearing up for production with Tarsem Singh directing Julia Roberts as the evil queen, Lily Collins as Snow White and Armie Hammer as the prince.
