Ellie Kemper heading to '21 Jump Street'

Ellie Kemper has joined the cast of Columbia Pictures' bigscreen reboot of "21 Jump Street."
According to Variety, the cast includes Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Ice Cube, Brie Larson, Rob Riggle, Jake Johnson, Dave Franco, Johnny Simmons, Dakota Johnson and DeRay Davis.
Tatum and Hill are also executive producing.
The film is based on the 1980s Fox TV series that focused on young undercover police officers investigating crimes in high schools and colleges.
Johnny Depp, who starred in the original series, will make a brief cameo.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are directing from a script by Michael Bacall.
Neal H. Moritz will produce. Stephen J. Cannell, who co-created and executive produced the original series, will receive a posthumous producing credit.
Kemper can be seen in the comedy hit "Bridesmaids" as well as NBC's "The Office."
