Tom Cruise has 'One Shot'

Tom Cruise is in talks to star in Paramount Pictures' "One Shot."
According to Variety, Christopher McQuarrie is directing from his own script.
The film is based on the 2005 Lee Child novel of the same name that centers on Jack Reacher, an ex-Army police officer who becomes involved in a case where a sniper is accused of murdering five people in a shooting.
Cruise is producing with his partner Paula Wagner through their Cruise/Wagner Productions along with David Ellison's Skydance Productions; Dana Goldberg and Gary Levinsohn through Mutual Film Company; and Don Granger.
Cruise is currently shooting the Warner Bros./New Line musical "Rock of Ages" and stars in the upcoming "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol."
