Jesse Eisenberg has entered into talks to join the cast of Summit Entertainment's magician-heist film "Now You See Me."
According to Variety, Louis Leterrier ("Clash of the Titans") will direct.
Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are producing through their K/O Paper Products shingle.
The film focuses on an expert FBI squad trying to close in on a group of the world's greatest illusionists, who pull off a series of bank heists during their live performances and shower the bank money on their audiences.
Eisenberg would play one of the leads with Jake Gyllenhaal having an offer for the other lead.
Melanie Laurent ("Inglourious Basterds") has an offer for the female lead.
Summit had been trying to lure Colin Firth, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jim Carrey and Hugh Grant for supporting roles.
Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt wrote the script.
Yakin will executive produce along with K/O Paper Products' Bobby Cohen.
Eisenberg ("The Social Network") will start filming Woody Allen's "Bop Decameron" later this summer.
