By Adnan Tezer Jun 8, 2011, 18:46 GMT
Al Pacino is in talks to star in the Warner Bros' comedy "Imagine."
According to Variety, screenwriter Dan Fogelman ("Tangled," "Crazy Stupid Love," "My Mother's Curse") is making his directorial debut on the film.
Fogelman wrote the script, which centers on an aging rocker who proceeds on a life-changing journey to find his biological son whom he's never met after discovering a letter written to him by John Lennon.
Pacino would play the rocker.
Steve Carell had been attached as the son but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.
He's still producing through his Carousel Productions along with Denise Di Novi.
Pacino recently joined John Travolta, Joe Pesci and Lindsay Lohan in the cast of "Gotti: Three Generations."
