In the latest round of competing Snow White films between Universal and Relativity Media, Relativity has moved up their untitled Snow White film from June 29, 2012 to March 16, 2012.
According to Variety, this comes a week after Universal moved up the release date of their Snow White film, "Snow White and the Huntsman," to June 1, 2012.
Tarsem Singh is directing the Relativity version, formally known as "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White."
The cast includes Julia Roberts as the evil queen, Lily Collins as Snow White and Armie Hammer as Prince Andrew Alcott.
Melissa Wallack and Jason Keller wrote the script.
The modern day retelling of Snow White finds the vengeful heroine joining forces with a gang of seven dwarves after her evil stepmother kills her father.
Ryan Kavanaugh, Bernie Goldmann and Brett Ratner are producing.
Universal's "Huntsman" stars Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Chris Hemsworth as the huntsman and Charlize Theron as the evil queen.
Both films begin production this summer.
