F. Gary Gray is attached to direct IM Global and Radical Pictures' sci-fi film "The Last Days of American Crime."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sam Worthington ("Avatar") will star.
The film is based on Rick Remender's comic book of the same name.
Karl Gadejsak will write the adaptation.
The story is set in the near future where the U.S. government plans to secretly broadcast a signal that will make it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit crimes. A career criminal (Worthington) plans one final heist on the last night that crime would be possible.
Gray most recently directed "Law Abiding Citizen" with Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler.
