The violent action filled new movie trailer for Lionsgate Films upcoming fantasy "Conan the Barbarian" is now online. The film casts "Game of Thrones" star Jason Mamoa in the title role of Conan, previously and famously filled by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1982 version.
"Conan the Barbarian" is based on the stories of fantasy author Robert E. Howard and is directed by German film maker Marcus Nispel.
The new adpation stars Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ron Perlman, Leo Howard, Steven O'Donnell and Raad Rawi.
My brief thoughts... Not entirely convinced by this one, a return to action fantasy for director Nispel who was the man behind the major flop "Pathfinder," a film I struggled to sit through in a single viewing out of pure boredom. To me, it looks like an overly expensive episode of "Xena: Warriror Princess." We shall see though, watch the trailer and form your own opinions.
