Saoirse Ronan is one with 'The Host'

Saoirse Ronan will star in the independent sci-fi film "The Host."
According to Variety, the film is a big-screen adaptation of the 2008 novel by "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer.
Writer-director Andrew Niccol wrote the adaptation, which centers on the invasion and takeover of Earth by a group of aliens known as Souls.
Nick Wechsler is producing along with Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz.
No director or production date has been set.
Ronan can be currently seen in the thriller "Hanna" opposite Eric Bana and Cate Blanchett.
Niccol wrote and directed the films "Gattaca," "S1m0ne" and "Lord of War."
His most recent film "Now," which stars Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried, opens in October.
